Leodis navigate loss and change on new single “Days Like These”

Updated: Dec 17, 2025

Leeds-based trio Leodis return with their latest single, “Days Like These”, a reflective meditation on loss, change, and the moments that pull us back. Out now, the track captures the subtle tension between holding on and letting go, offering a contemplative yet warmly resonant listening experience.

Originally written in 2021, the song began its life as a breakup track. “It was written as a breakup song,” lead singer Archie shares, “but after taking a few years out and coming back to it, we heard it differently. It wasn’t about heartbreak anymore. It was about loss and how the human mind processes the absence of someone you love, and learning to live without them.”

With distance and perspective, “Days Like These” evolved beyond romantic loss, becoming a meditation on the broader human experience. Archie explains, “It transcended the personal. It’s about change, about why we hold on, and what happens when we finally let go. However much time passes, there will always be days where it feels like you’re right back at square one.”

Musically, Leodis weave together the grit of classic rock with the warmth and soul of country storytelling. Their sound is defined by rich harmonies, heartfelt lyricism, and a distinct artistic identity, drawing comparisons to Kings of Leon and Mumford & Sons. On “Days Like These”, this blend of vulnerability and anthemic energy gives the song a cinematic, almost timeless quality, echoing the cyclical nature of loss and acceptance.

With this single, Leodis continue to carve out a space for music that is both emotionally grounded and expansively resonant, inviting listeners to reflect on their own moments of change, absence, and the gentle art of letting go.
